The job...

The Head of Learning and Adventure is a field-based role in which you'll be responsible for the delivery of safe and impactful learning through authentic adventures. The role includes leading and coaching our inspiring team of Learning and Adventure Managers and Instructors.

You'll also be part of the Centre Leadership Team at Outward Bound Loch Eil, contributing towards the overall strategic and operational performance of the centre.

Most importantly, this role will play a significant role in upholding the values and highest standards of learning and adventure which will ultimately enable young people to have the best possible Outward Bound experience.

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for someone with a:

• Track record in delivering adventure, learning and environmental work to young people
• Proven ability to lead, manage and coach senior staff
• Front-line field work approach to management and leadership, this isn't an office job!

What you'll bring...

You'll have:

• A range of relevant higher level adventure and preferably learning qualifications along with a desire to undertake regular CPD
• Strong risk management awareness
• A genuine motivation and ability to work in the field, alongside an understanding of the value of personal as well as professional adventures
