OS Maps in Action
Going beyond paper maps with the Ordnance Survey
In 2021, Ordnance Survey gifted our instructor team an OS Maps digital subscription, helping us in our mission to inspire young people to believe they can achieve more than they ever thought possible.
As part of their support, OS Maps have developed an interactive storymap to celebrate Outward Bound achievements over the last 80 years. This very special map explores how navigation tools and mapping is used across the charity to plan adventures, keep our participants safe and enhance understanding and enjoyment in the great outdoors.
You can explore the interactive storymap in all its glory here
From my persepective, the OS Maps app is transformative. In my UK-wide role I have the confidence to go anywhere knowing that I can access great mapping capability.
