Paul Chipperfield - Eskdale, The Lake District, 1967
I think I attended E193 in 1967 (That was me on the far left 48 years ago!) This was perhaps one of the most memorable events I have ever done. I can still vividly remember many of the days there including jumping in the lake at some obscene time in the morning. I am not super fit or seriously adventurous but since that course I have always returned to the Lake District walking whenever possible. I have been introduced to voluntary work there via the National Trust and so O.B. has had a major influence on my life as a 16 year old lad. I would do it again without hesitation and I hope many others get the satisfaction that I got from being there. Keep up the good work!
