Nick Dawson - Aberdovey, Wales, 1980
Today I am the Duty Manager at the The Outward Bound Trust Aberdovey centre on one of my favorite days of the year. It is the start of the big summer Classic courses. Students will arrive from all over the world to start on a journey of discovery that has taken place here for many years.
Today is also special as it marks 30 years since I started that very same journey, as I arrived at Aberdovey to start my own course.It was a fantastic 3 weeks which changed the direction of my life. I learnt a great dael about myself and how I got on with the rest of the group and how we could help and support each other. Lesson that I use pretty much every day.
Three years after my course I was able to come back to Aberdovey and get a job. A job that continues to give me great satisfaction and oppurtunities.
