John Moore - Ullswater, The Lake District, 1963

I attended Ullswater Centre and was on U93, Scott patrol.The early morning routine was a dash down to the showers (too much ice on the lake) and the last patrol to assemble in full had an extra 30 seconds under the cold shower.One morning we ensured that the door from a rival patrol's dormitory could not be opened quickly, so we had a gentle stroll knowing we could take our time.
