John Holmden - Aberdovey, Wales, 1942
I was a pupil at Gordonstoun in about 1942 when it was relocated to Wales, at a village called Llandinham Not sure of the spelling. The Outward bound school was only at Aberdovey and Founded by Kurt Hahn. I used to have a small metal lapel shield that was purple and had a white stripe through it and if memory serves me right you were awarded gold silver and bronze.Gordonstounalso had a schooner at Aberdovey namely the Prince Louis. When Gordonstoun returned to Scotland I complteted my schooling there. It was a very tough school, but on reflection it taught me to take responsabillities, trust and how to handle adversities. I can relate many stories of my years at school and the Outwardbound course. I was born in 09/09/1932.
