John Black - Ullswater, The Lake District, 1967

I remember having to jump into the lake each morning off the jetty in November!!! If the lake was frozen we had to use the showers which were even colder. I had a ruse being six feet two inches tall I stood on the edges of the sinks set into the floor and put my head as close to the shower head as possible which meant that the spray voided sideways onto the other students. I quit the police force but ended having a twenty two year career in the army. Great times.
