Jim Norman - Ullswater, The Lake District, 1963
My favourite moment was in 1963 being offered a job as a temporary instructor at the Ullswater Outward Bound . School. My toughest challenge was becoming asuccessful Outward Bound Instructor. My special memory is completing three years plus as an Outward Bound Instructor fifty years ago - an experience which I value and can never forget.
I worked at Ullswater under Sqdn.Ldr Davies & Ralph Blain, Eskdale under Tom Price and Asburton uder Capt. Freddie Fuller before becoming a permanent instructor at Ullswater.
Now fifty years on I have nearly completed a book on my experiences -soon to be published - which I think many will find both interesting and amusing - a view from the other side so to speak.
Probably the most valuable experience of my lifewhich resulted in my becoming a Consultant Clinical Psychologist - for more than forty years - still encouraging people to reach their full potential!
